Good Night Moon....

As the mother of an eight year old and a nine month old, I am revisiting old friends (my older son's favorite books) during bedtime. A favorite of my OS was "Good Night Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown, and quickly became a favorite of my younger son. Since I have read "Good Night Moon" , maybe 100 times at least, I was looking for a book with a similar vibe. Maragaret Wise Brown came through with a new book, "Good Day, Good Night" which fit the bill. It has a similar format and same lilting rhythm but explores the difference between day and night. Both of my boys enjoyed this book and my older son found it exciting to locate all of the illustrator's nods to the original novel. There are hidden parts of "Good Night Moon" interwoven throughout the book. This book was a great fit for my family! If you would like a new take on "Good Night Moon" - check this book out.
